Realizing the High Peak of the Divine Revelation
by Experiencing God’s Organic Salvation
Scripture reading: Gen. 1:26; John 1:14; 12:24; Rom. 5:10, 17, 21; 8:2, 4, 6, 28-29; 2 Cor. 3:17-18; Rev. 21:2, 10-11
I.The high peak of the divine revelation is that God became a man so that man may become God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead—John 1:14; Rom. 8:3; 2 Pet. 1:4:
A.This high peak is that God became a man so that man may become God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead—John 1:14; Rom. 1:3-4:
1.The eternal, infinite, ever-existing and self-existing, and almighty God one day became a man, just like you and me—John 1:14.
2.The “diamond” in the “box” of the Bible is a revelation that God in Christ became a man so that man may become God in life and in nature (but not in the Godhead)—2 Sam. 7:12-14a; Rom. 1:3-4; Eph. 3:17a.
B.God became a man so that man may become God in life and in nature but not share in the Godhead; this is the center of the high peak of the divine revelation among us—John 1:14; 2 Cor. 3:18; Col. 3:4; 2 Pet. 1:4; Phil. 2:5:
1.Only by God becoming a man to make man God can the Body of Christ be produced; this point is the high peak of the vision God has given us—Gen. 1:26; John 12:24; Rom. 8:29.
2.God is doing all He can to make us the same as He is, but He does not give us His Godhead; after we are glorified, all that we are will be what He is, and all that He is, except for His Godhead, will also be what we are—1 John 3:2b; S. S. 6:13b.
II.We must see the practice and reality of living according to this high peak—Rom. 8:4; Phil. 1:19-21:
A.We should not merely have a so-called seeing of this high peak without caring to touch and enter into this revelation—Matt. 7:24.
B.Since we have seen the high peak of the divine revelation, we need to practice what we have seen; what we practice is the living of a God-man—Rom. 1:3-4; Eph. 3:17a; Hab. 3:2:
1.A God-man is a regenerated and transformed person who is one with God, taking God as his life, his person, and his everything; eventually, this person becomes God in life and in nature, but not in the Godhead; this is a God-man—Gen. 1:26; John 3:3; Phil. 1:21.
2.The life of a God-man is to call on the name of the Lord, to pray-read the Lord’s word which is Spirit, to pray unceasingly, not to quench The Spirit but to fan The Spirit into flame, and not to despise but to esteem prophesying—1 Thes. 5:17-20.
III.The remaining eleven chapters of Romans explain how God in Christ became our life so that we may reign in life; this means that these eleven chapters deal with God’s organic salvation, which is based on Christ’s judicial righteousness—Rom. 5:17, 21; 8:2, 4-6:
A.Our organic salvation begins with our regeneration; at the time of regeneration, God dispenses His life into our spirit; He adds His uncreated life to our created life, causing our originally God-created yet fallen and corrupted human nature to be redeemed and resurrected—John 3:3, 6.
B.Furthermore, this God who regenerated us is continually sanctifying us, uplifting our nature with His holy nature—Lev. 11:45; Eph. 1:4.
C.He is also renewing our mind, even allowing His mind to become our mind; Philippians 2:5 reveals that we can have the mind of Christ—Rom. 12:2a.
D.Based on our regeneration, sanctification, and renewing, we are being transformed; transformation changes our entire being and continues in conformation; we are being conformed to the image of God’s firstborn Son, who is the processed and ultimately consummated Triune God—vv. 2-3; 8:29b.
E.Eventually, we will be glorified; when we are wholly in glory, God and we will be the same in life, nature, and expression; the only difference is that He has the Godhead, which we will never have, because He is the only God; we need to pray not only to be holy but also to be the same as God—vv. 14-39.
IV.Second Corinthians 3:17-18 says, “And the Lord is The Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom; But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit”—2 Cor. 3:17-18:
A.We need to keep our face unveiled so that we may behold Christ at every moment; by beholding Christ, we are transformed into His image—vv. 17-18.
B.In a local church, the most important thing is to help the saints realize that today Christ is the life-giving Spirit, and this Spirit is transforming us into His image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord Spirit—v. 18.
C.Second Corinthians ends with, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all” (13:14); this speaks of the subjective Triune God becoming our portion; we enjoy the Triune God in the love of the Father as the source, through the grace of the Son as the channel, and in the communion of the Spirit as the ultimate consummation and flow.
V.God works all things together to cause the life of God to shine forth from within us—Rom. 8:28-30:
A.God’s central thought is not blessing and peace, but building you up through all circumstances for the purpose of making you like the image of His Son—vv. 28-30.
B.God stirs things up in our environment to cause us to be mingled with the life of God so that the life of God may be manifested; if we cooperate with the life of God within us, we will have the life of God within us and be filled with the image of God outwardly—Phil. 1:20-21; 2 Cor. 1:8-9; 4:7-12.
C.The life within us is the Spirit of God mingled with our spirit; the life within us requires our spirit to cooperate with the life of God; what is most important is that our spirit within must follow the Holy Spirit; if you obey Him and follow Him, the result will be life and peace—Rom. 8:6; Gal. 5:16, 25.
VI.We should forget all our problems, come to the high peak of God’s divine revelation, and strive to be the overcomers on Mount Zion (Rev. 14:1-5); in this way, the entire Bible will be open to us—1 Tim. 3:16:
A.We all must see this; otherwise, our work will be in vain and no different from the work of others—Matt. 7:26.
B.The Lord needs a model; He needs a corporate group of people who, through the high peak of this divine revelation, have been raised up by His grace to live a life according to this revelation; in this way, they will become the model—Eph. 4:20-21; 1 Pet. 2:12.
C.If we practice the life of a God-man, which is the reality of the Body of Christ, a corporate model will spontaneously be established, a model that lives out God’s economy; this model will become the greatest revival in the history of the church and will bring the Lord back—Eph. 4:21; Rev. 19:7.
